Kmart recently expanded their 'New Day, You Way' program to a national event the started on January 12th. Our team was responsible for the visual and conceptual redesign for the 2008 program/contest. I designed a Flash 'mainstage' in order to leverage Kmart's bank of photography and to establish product prominence, as well as develop a fun, yet sophisticated navigation. The site is framed by information and printable guides for losing weight but also needed to satisfy Kmart's position as a retail chainm, in the form of product sales.

We very purposefully developed a system of 'tips' and 'facts', linked to product areas, in order to connect the benefit of this information with the products mentioned. Overall the navigation was trimmed down, areas were condensed and organized for the easiest and most beneficial consumer experience.

I played a second role in the production of the site. While acting as art director for the Flash 'mainstage' I built the frame work of the site using HTML, CSS, and Javascript. Additional outside production came in the form of ASP components for weight calculators.
